Black Robe Solutions was founded by the Hon. Stuart F. Karden (Ret.), who served as a Judge at the Immigration Court in Orlando, Florida for over 14 years. Judge Karden also served as the past chair of both the Florida Bar Immigration & Nationality certification committee and the South Florida chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

After years in private practice wrestling with complex calculations like the I-751 and N-400 filing windows, and then on the bench calculating deadlines and complex dependent dates, like initial brief and reply deadlines, Judge Karden built what has now evolved into JudgeCalc.
